Hello World!
Paris, France;
currently no institutional address
I am a student at the research M2 in Probability and Statistics Institut de Mathématique d’Orsay, Paris-Saclay University. I am actively looking for a Doctoral position.
In the near past, I was a Research Intern @KAUST in Prof. Richtárik’s group, focusing on Optimization. Previously, I was a Research Intern @ENS Paris under the supervision of Bruno Loureiro, exploring Stochastic Gradient Descent dynamics beyond the unstructured assumption. Last year, I was a Research Intern @IST Austria under the supervision of Prof. Marco Mondelli, where I worked on Approximate Message Passing and Information Theoretic limits of a model of inference.
I graduated with an MS in Data Science at Bocconi University. My supervisor was Prof. Carlo Lucibello. Before my graduate studies, I completed a Bachelor in Economics and Computer Science.

🛠 My main research interests are Theory of Learning and of Neural Networks broadly
- 👨💻 Give a look at the writings and talks sections to see what I do!
- writings hosts both long and short documents
- most talks are paired with a short writing

The prompt I gave to Dall-E2 for the surprinsingly self resembling image was
“Van Gogh style painting of an Italian boy in his 20s with a shirt and eyeglasses, brown curly hair, brown eyes”
Perhaps I am a ground state of some Open AI’s ML pipeline…

Apr 15, 2024 | Thrilled to make a meta-update! This month, I have graduated from Bocconi University with a MS in Data Science! Thanks to my awesome supervisor Carlo Lucibello for 5 years of mentorship. Since February I am also interning at KAUST in Prof. Richtárik’s group, focusing on Optimization! |
Dec 26, 2023 | Came back home for the holidays, happy to see family and friends. I will take some time to finish my Thesis and some documents I have been writing up, as well as continue with the Austrian and French research. Stay Tuned (hopefully) for updates on the Ph.D. application process and new destinations! |
Oct 1, 2023 | very excited to share that I will continue as a Research Intern at Ecole Normale Superieure (ENS). I will be in Bruno Loureiro’s group and work on Stochastic Gradient Descent for structured data. |
Jun 1, 2023 | super happy to share that I am a Research Intern at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA). I will be in Prof. Marco Mondelli’s group and work on Statistical to Computational Gaps, Information Theory, Algorithms and Message Passing! |
